The 10th annual Sunset Splash gala at the Scripps Seaside Forum in La Jolla on October 22nd made a “splash” in the local community. Selling out with more than 300 attendees and netting over $225,000 for the Foundation’s main educational program, the Natural High ® DVD Series.
Other memorable moments of the evening included a special awards presentation to role model and Pro Surfer/Musician, Timmy Curran, for exemplifying the natural high lifestyle and the Natural High Film Producer, Josh Landan. Awards were also given to an honored Educator, Steve Pitkin, flown in from Washington and two high school students from Arizona who won the Natural High PSA Contest last May. The night peaked and concluded with the heartfelt Sponsor a State campaign, an opportunity for guests to donate the funds required to providing Natural High 5 to schools in their favorite state.
Special thanks goes out to all the Sunset Splash sponsors, donors, and attendees as well as this year’s media sponsor, Ranch & Coast Magazine. Through sponsorship, donations and the continued support of local businesses and community leaders this year’s gala has allowed us to reach its fundraising goal which in turn will help to increase the number of students the Foundation reaches.

“This program and organization has really changed my perspective on staying away from drugs and alcohol. I know better than to fall into the temptation of drugs and alcohol. Natural High has helped me reassure myself that I have made the right choice by staying clean.”

“I think Travis Pastrana's comments were incisive and so very much on target. I probably have seen NH2 close to 50 times now and each time I find myself smiling at his and others' insights.”
