Executive Director
Michelle Ahearne
Natural High: Reading and Crafting

Michelle rejoined SMF as Executive Director this spring after working as a consultant with the organization to engage in strategic planning and other organizational development. She earned a BA in Social Work from Cornell University and a MA in Nonprofit Leadership and Management from the University of San Diego and has worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 10 years. In her free time, she consults for other nonprofits and volunteers at church and on the Director’s Circle at Shakti Rising, a nonprofit organization that provides holistic, gender-specific and trauma-informed services to young women, ages 15–30, who are dealing with multiple issues including substance abuse, body-image issues, interpersonal violence, and depression.
Originally from upstate New York, Michelle has lived in San Diego for the past three years with her husband Sean, a naval aviator.

Kelly Frank
Natural High: Tennis and Scrapbooking

Kelly Frank started working at the Foundation after obtaining her Bachelor Degree in Marketing from the W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. Kelly has gained administration and marketing experience working for such companies as the Karmanos Cancer Institute, World Motors, Above the Barr Marketing, and Riester Advertising. Her heart is now with the non profit sector and she considers it a true blessing to be able to use what she has learned to further the mission of Natural High. Her goals include coordinating marketing initiatives and improving communication through out the year. Kelly attributes all her opportunities, connections and success to God. She enjoys the San Diego sunshine and spending time with friends, family, and boyfriend.

Gaddi Del Cid
Natural High: Painting and Reading
Gaddi Del Cid began her journey with SMF in early 2007, but her passion for non-profit work has always stood firm. She studied fine arts at the Academy of Arts in Los Angeles, California before she embarked on an independent travel through South America, where she individually volunteered for various non- profit organizations, including: Common Hope, Habitat for Humanity, and Para los Ninos.
In her return to the United States after a 10 month journey, she found passion in working as a humanitarian. She later worked along side Madonna as an executive assistant in Raising Malawi(Los Angeles) for the construction of an orphan care center in Malawi, South Africa.
Since then she has moved to Del Mar, CA, where she uses her spare time as a core volunteer for Surfrider Foundation and joined the team at Sundt Memorial Foundation for the fight against drugs.

Jon Sundt
President and Founder
Natural High: Surfing

Jon Sundt, is the President and CEO of Altegris Investments, a broker dealer specializing in providing sophisticated investors with access to hedge funds and other alternative investments. He is also the founder and President of International Traders Research Inc. (ITR), a highly acclaimed research firm that provides performance information on alternative investment programs worldwide. ITR’s research has been used and quoted by a variety of financial publications and organizations, including The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, Chicago Tribune, and the Alternative Investment Management Association, among others.
Outside of his business ventures, Jon is the founder and President of the Sundt Memorial Foundation, a nonprofit organization committed to preventing substance abuse by changing the hearts and minds of youth. To accomplish this mission, the Foundation hosts assemblies, provides educational material and has produced the highly acclaimed ‘Natural High’ video series, featuring the nation’s top action sports athletes. The Foundation’s work has been far reaching, touching the lives of millions of students across the country.
Jon is a lifelong resident of La Jolla and attended UCSD, majoring in Computer Science and Economics. When he is not working with Altegris or the Foundation, Jon is at home with his wife, daughter and son.
Pete Johnson
Board Member
Pete Johnson has shared Jon Sundt's vision of using role models and mutlimedia to help youth make positive, healthy choices in life. Pete started the drug and alchohol program for the Telluride, Colorado school system and was co-visionary for the production of SMF’s Natural High 2 and Natural High 3 DVDs. Pete has been a board member of the Sundt Memorial Foundation for the last 6 years.
In his professional life, Pete is the founder of Hermitage Land Company, a real estate brokerage company specializing in Telluride area land and properties. He has studied real estate and international business at the University of Colorado, Boulder and lives in Colorado with his wife and three children.
Josh Billauer
Board Member
Natural High: Surfing

Josh Billauer began his career in 1998 with a Wachovia Securities predecessor firm, then spent over two years with Morgan Stanley, before returning to Wachovia Securities in 2002. He holds the titles of Vice-President - Investments and PIM Portfolio Manager.
Josh currently serves as Chairman of the Board for the Life Rolls On Foundation, a national non-profit that raises awareness and funds for spinal cord injury research. For 2007, Life Rolls On raised in excess of $400,000 for the cause.
Josh’s work with Life Rolls On has earned him several accolades. He was named to the 2003 San Diego Metropolitan Magazine’s “40 Under 40” list. Josh was also named to NonProfit Times list of top ten non-profit executives under 30 in the country.
In 2006, Josh was invited to join the Board of Directors for the Sundt Memorial Foundation.
Josh is a graduate of University of California at San Diego (UCSD). His wife, Ricki, and daughter, Lexi, share the home with their two dogs, Buggy the rat terrier and Beek the English Mastiff. Josh was a competitive surfer with UCSD, and a two-time member of the National Title winning team. His personal interests include the movies, surfing, travel, and golf.
