Natural High is a registered 501(C) (3) Nonprofit Organization. The Foundation has an office in La Jolla, CA and includes a passionate full-time staff and a committed board of directors.
Our Mission is to Influence the Hearts and Minds of Kids by Inspiring Them to Live Their Natural High and Reject Drugs.
We speak the language of youth by using real stories from high-profile athletes, musicians and artists that show kids that pursuing a natural high is way cooler than using drugs.
Our vision is for kids to grow up with a steady stream of natural high messages, inspiring a culture of healthier, drug-free youth across the country.
Coming This March, NaturalHigh.TV will Feature Mountain Climber, Jordan Romero!
Up until now, the Natural High message has been shared primarily in schools, by educators, during Red Ribbon week and along side other drug prevention activities. We are now pleased to announce our expansion to naturalhigh.tv, an online platform where youth can watch athletes and icons share what they do for a natural high instead of drugs. Our hope is that the launch of the Natural High ® Online Film Series will give us an opportunity to talk to more youth, more often, inspiring a new culture that teaches youth to pursue their natural highs instead of drugs.
Volume 10 spotlights the multi-talented Mountain Climber, Jordan Romero. At the age of 13, Jordan becoming the youngest person to ever climb Mount Everest, and at the age of 15 he became the youngest climber in the world to complete the Seven Summits of the world. He is also the co-author of "The Boy Who Conquered Everest: The Jordan Romero Story". Be sure to tune in to naturalhigh.tv this March and watch as Jordan opens up about his Natural High!

Friday, October 28th was a big day for La Jolla-based nonprofit Natural High. Dedicated to inspiring a culture of healthier, drug-free youth across America with its celebrity DVDs and captivating message.
They kicked off the day, with the first ever Natural High 5 premiere held at Muirlands Middle School. Emphasizing their loud and clear drug-free message with a special visit by Cassadee Pope, cutting edge singer/songwriter of Hey Monday and star of Natural High 5. Pope was joined by Natural High founder Jon Sundt, Natural High Youth Engagement Coordinator, Allura Garis and Bishop’s High school senior Megan Hastings who created the Natural High PLEDGE Campaign.
Three hundred students filled the auditorium for Pope’s appearance and screening of the film, while the remainder participated in a simulcast right in their classrooms. Pope greeted all 1,000 students on the athletic field after the premiere, to sign autographs and encourage them to take the Natural High PLEDGE to live a drug-free life.
More than 40,000 people have taken the PLEDGE even though creator Hastings goal was 1,000. “I believe if a teen can see that they are not alone and there is an entire movement of people choosing to live Naturally High, they will PLEDGE to do the same and be strengthened in their decision to live drug free,” said Hastings alongside Pope on stage.
2011 Sunset Splash Annual Gala
Natural High by the Sundt Memorial Foundation hosted its 11th Annual Sunset Splash Gala on Friday, October 28th. The evening featured delicious food, entertainment, a silent auction and live auction, and guests enjoyed a beautiful sunset and evening! The best part was that all funds raised support Natural High's efforts to inspire youth to say "yes" to a Natural High and "no" to drugs.
"Natural High began with just a few of us. Today, more than 5 million youth are being reached. It started with the first Natural High DVD and is now growing into a cultural movement led by youth. Join us as we celebrate, together, our growth and impact." - Jon & Kathliene Sundt

2010: Many Reasons for Natural High to Celebrate!!
I find myself reflecting on this year. My daughter, Aeriel turned 11 and is nearing the age when youth begin to be approached by their peers to drink or try drugs. As her Dad, there is nothing more in the world I want than to prevent her and other youth and families from experiencing the devastating effects that drugs can have on our lives.
Sadly, we know that all our kids have to do is turn on the TV, listen to music or talk to their friends and they are bombarded with mixed messages about what is ‘cool,’ how they should act and who they should be friends with. Over and over, they are exposed to the lie that “everyone is using and there are no consequences.”
Who’s telling our kids the truth?
I want my daughter and all children to grow up with the truth, the truth that the high that drugs produce is a rip-off and the truth that it’s much cooler to pursue a natural high—which is why I started the Sundt Memorial Foundation many years ago. Through our most notable program, the Natural High® DVD & Online Series provided free to every middle school in the country, kids are hearing the truth and they are listening.
Here’s just one example: “I was hard into drugs. I almost killed myself. I met a teacher who cared and we watched the Natural High together. I loved it and ended up crying before it was over because I thought of everything I missed out on and how badly I had sunken into a black hole of drugs. Natural High inspired me. That day I decided stop using. I'm a lot happier now. I've taken up writing stories and ice skating, my natural highs before I got into drugs. Thank you for talking to kids in a way we can relate to.” -Alexandra, Student, Utah
To date, the Natural High message has reached more than 2.5 million youth across the U.S. through powerful partnerships with nearly 9,000 educators and we continue to grow in our reach. In fact, just this October, cultural icon and role model Lauren Conrad shared her own story about how she rejected drugs in pursuit of her Natural Highs: fashion and writing, through our Online Series and then on the Rachel Ray Show!
While we are proud of our reach and exposure given our limited resources, there is still a critical need to reach more kids and reach them more effectively. Having set a goal of reaching 12 million youth over the next five years and 4 million by next year, we need your help. Next year alone, our goal is to make Natural High® 5 available free to every middle school in the U.S. and for the first time, host online trainings for educators and provide them with a comprehensive toolbox of discussion guides, lesson plans and ideas for incorporating the Natural High message into their curriculum all year long!
With those ambitious goals in mind, as you plan your year-end giving, we ask you to join us in delivering the truth to more youth by making a tax-deductible donation to the Sundt Memorial Foundation. 100% of your donation goes directly to supporting Natural High programs. Even better, the return on investment is high.
On behalf of the youth and educators we work with, I wish you and your loved ones blessings this holiday season.
With Gratitude,
Jon Sundt, Dad, President & Founder
