Public Confidence in the San Diego Nonprofit Sector

Public Confidence plays a significant role in evaluating the strength of the nonprofit sector, especially in regards to providing quality services on the public?s behalf and spending money wisely. The Caster Family for Nonprofit Research at the University of San Diego is excited to share with you the release of their latest report; The Appreciated Sector: Public Confidence in the San Diego County Nonprofit Organizations. Despite the loss of trust nationally stemming from unethical practices discovered during 9-11 and other recent catastrophes, overall the findings suggest that the San Diego public does indeed appreciate the sector and what it contributes to the community. 75% of respondents reported making a financial contribution to a nonprofit organization in 2007 and 40% indicated that they volunteered with one. Read the Union Tribune's analysis of the report here.

"My class enjoyed the stars performing- this for me was the hook, but the message was imbedded in most of them without them even having to concentrate on it. Kids today are visual learners. They need to see to believe and then they want to copy what they viewed. Natural High has all the elements that capture students' attention."
